When the numbers came in for this past September, the Xbox 360 had sold 44.6M total units since launch while the PS3 was just behind with 41.6M consoles moved. Earlier this month, Sony confirmed another strange detail regarding using the PSVR on PS5. While the PS5 has its own new camera accessory for sale, that the new camera will not work with the PSVR. If someone wants to use the PSVR on the PS5 they will need to use the PS4 camera, along with an adapter piece that Sony is being kind off enough to offer for free. This lends to the theory held by many that the PS5 will eventually be getting some kind of PSVR 2, and that the new PS5 camera is designed to function with that....

In comparison, the top competitors to PSVR, the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive are estimated to have sold 243,000 and 420,000 units by the end of last year, respectively.
