After gathering the results of the fan-voted poll, the PlayStation community chose Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, which accounted for over 11% of the total votes. Of course, given the cultural impact the game brought to the video game community, it is not surprising that The Last of Us took the top spot. Ever since its release back in 2013, the game was critically praised by both fans and critics due to its immersive gameplay, top-notch story, and well-fleshed out characters. Given the massive success of The Last of Us, a sequel is currently being developed by Naughty Dog and players can pre-order The Last of Us 2 right now. The Last of Us 2 is set to release on May 29, 2020, exclusively for the PS4.

Taking the second spot is 2018’s God of War by Santa Monica Studio, which serves as the eighth installment in the longstanding action-adventure franchise. God of War is then followed by CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was also praised by critics and fans and sold extremely well during its release. Interestingly enough, The Witcher 3 appears to be getting a renaissance and is being played again by both old and new players thanks to the increasing popularity of the Netflix adaptation that is based on The Witcher novels.
