The PlayStation Classic typically goes for $100, but is being offered by several retailers for almost half the price at $59.99. There’s no telling how long this price cut will last, so now is an excellent time to snag this old school console.

Mini-consoles have been a recent trend, kicking off when Nintendo began offering newer, portable versions of its retro consoles. Like the NES Classic and SNES Classic, the PlayStation Classic is pre-loaded with variety of titles, ranging from Battle Arena Toshinden to Final Fantasy 7.

We’ve put together a breakdown of titles available on the console for those who want to know what they’ll be able to play. This includes a brief description of the title, along with how it was rated when it was released. Unfortunately, the list is somewhat short and missing plenty beloved games, such as Symphony of the Night.

What makes this price incredible is that the PlayStation Classic debuted only a short time ago. Since then, dataminers have delved deep into the console to see what they could discovered. What they found were 36 games on the console that can’t be accessed, such as Crash Bandicoot 2 and Medievil and there’s been no clear reason why these games were omitted.

While some were content simply peeking around the insides the console, others went a step further, hacking the PlayStation Classic, allowing them to add cheats or entirely new games. Many were surprised how quickly hackers managed to manipulate the console, but admitted it was a sign that it had very poor security.

If the relatively small number of titles available on the PlayStation Classic was enough to deter you from purchasing upon release, then perhaps this discount is just the ticket to give it a shot. It’s a good idea to hop on this deal early, however, as it could end any day.

The PlayStation Classic is available now.
