Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to launch on February 10. In an effort to streamline development and get Hogwarts Legacy out the door, Hogwarts Legacy will be limited to PC and next-gen consoles at launch, with PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, versions to release later this year. PlayStation has embraced the opportunity as is showcasing Hogwarts Legacy as one of the PS5’s major releases for 2023. Given the drought of exclusive releases for early 2023, that’s more than understandable.

As an example, PlayStation has now announced the PlayStation Hogwarts Legacy House Cup sweepstakes. Players will be able to complete various tasks between now and February 16 to enter a sweepstakes with a potential prize of a PS5 and the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition. Outside the grand prize, which will only be given to two lucky entrants, there’s also an opportunity to earn an exclusive PlayStation Hogwarts Legacy avatar, not to mention bringing glory to each player’s respective Hogwarts House.
To enter the larger sweepstakes and the chance to win a PS5 and the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition, all interested participants need to do is access the PlayStation Quest and accept its terms and conditions. It’s that simple. To earn the exclusive avatar, there are a few extra steps.
The Hogwarts Legacy House Cup Avatar can be earned via a PlayStation Quest to complete 12 different challenges. These challenges include simple tasks like choosing one’s Hogwarts House, watching a Hogwarts Legacy trailer, and visiting the Hogwarts Legacy pre-order page. More complicated tasks include answering Harry Potter trivia, solving a riddle, and searing for clues. It’s nothing too challenging, for those worried they may not be able to complete the challenges.
On top of the sweepstakes and the Hogwarts Legacy avatar reward, PlayStation will also keep track of completion based on Hogwarts Houses. There’s no special reward for the House that wins. Whether it’s Gryffindor, Slytherin, or potentially even Hufflepuff, the winning Hogwarts House will only receive bragging rights. It’s not exactly the House Cup of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but it should be a fun community endeavor to build up excitement for Hogwarts Legacy’s PS5 launch.
