The titles in question are Hitman 2, Dead Cells, and Greed Fall, with the former two games being available until February 21, 2020. All three games are up for download right now, alongside the vast array of other titles featured on the service.

The most notable entry of the bunch is likely Hitman 2, with IO Interactive’s iconic stealth-centric franchise’s most recent entry being heralded by its player base. Building on the expansive formula introduced during the studio’s first foray into its newly dubbed World of Assassination trilogy, Hitman 2 offers players more expansive levels, a greater number of assassination opportunities, and more refined gameplay systems. It scored a respectable 82 on Metacritic at release, with the game growing a considerable following online as fans competed in fun challenges and shared their own assassination contracts. Those looking to catch up on the series before the release of Hitman 3 next year should give it a go as well.

Meanwhile, Greedfall is an expansive and enthralling RPG by french developer Spiders, the minds behind the likes of The Technomancher and the upcoming Steelrising. Set in a world that blends mystical fantasy with colonial-era locations, the game sees players journey to the mysterious island of Teer Fradee, where they must decide whether to aid its native locals or the invading colonizers who wish to claim it for themselves. It garnered mixed reviews upon release, netting a 72 on Metacritic, however, there were many who considered the game to have a lot of merit, especially through its interesting aesthetic and branching narrative.

Finally, Dead Cells is a roguelike action platformer that takes a lot of influence from the Metroidvania genre while also featuring brutal, 2D souls-like combat and permadeath. Its brutal challenge and emphasis on learning the game through frequent deaths make it the perfect title for those looking for something to test their skills and push them to the limits. It was a critically acclaimed gem upon releasing, bagging an astonishing 87 on Metacritic, so fans looking for something to scratch that Dark Souls sized itch should definitely jump on Dead Cells while it’s on PS Now. Overall, it’s another decent month for the Sony service.
