The upcoming Pokemon GO event starts tomorrow and will offer players a lot of extra motivation to get out, collect eggs, and hatch as many as possible. The festivities will span quite a few days and run from March 22 (1pm PDT) through April 2 (1pm PDT).

During that time, Pokemon GO players will want to do a whole lot of walking, so that they can get the most out of the events bonuses…

Although the event is similar in theme to past egg events, the changes sound like a great move. Guaranteeing 2km eggs, instead of 5 or 10, means that players should have a much easier time actually participating in the event. Players still need to get lucky enough to get an egg out of the Pokestop or Gym spin, but at least they’ll know every egg is a part of the event.

“Your eggs-traordinary efforts will bring rewards! Every Egg hatched during the event will also include bonus Candy to help you power up your newly hatched Pokémon. Additionally, double Stardust is available throughout the event.”

As snow continues to come down on the east coast, the only thing standing in the way of the event is bad weather. Hopefully things clear up and players are able to easily participate in the event and do lots of walking around during the end of the month.

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices. The Eggstravaganza event runs from March 22 at 1:00 p.m. PDT through April 2 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
